Under new provincial regulations, urban boundary expansions can take place through Official Plan updates or via an approved application for a specific parcel of land that a developer can request be added. As many will remember, there was a recommendation by staff, during the last Official Plan update process, to add in more lands in the South March area. Council voted not to include those lands. The Province added them back in. Then, the Province removed them again. Now, the City has received an application to add them back in. This is just the beginning of a long process. To read more about this application, please go to Application Details- Dev Apps.
