Construction
Anticipated construction activities over the next 2 weeks starting January 12th week
- Stage 4 traffic remains in place along Terry Fox Drive
- Continue installation of the shoring system for Terry Fox Drive overpass along westerly side of Terry Fox Drive, commence foundations.
- Continue the deep storm sewer works and rock excavation by blasting methods in future LRT extension corridor between Didsbury Road (west) to Didsbury Road (east). Traffic
The following are the current and upcoming traffic impacts for your community.
Lane Closures
Anticipated lane closures over the next 2 weeks, continuing the week of January 12th:
- Stage 4 traffic configuration along Terry Fox Drive – two North-bound lanes open, two South-bound lanes open traffic between approximately Campeau Drive to Hwy 417 WBL exits i.e., no lane closures
- Encroachment/flagging along Didsbury Road.
Pedestrian Detours
- No impacts anticipated, north-bound cyclists and pedestrians along Terry Fox Drive are detoured to the temporary multi-use pathway along the East side of Terry Fox Drive.
OC Transpo Detours
- No route impacts anticipated. Temporary Bus Stops applied by OC Transpo along Terry Fox where necessary.
Other
- Access to residents and business are being maintained
- Ongoing discussions with the BIA
- Schedule and Traffic impacts are subject to change and are subject to conditions such as weather, material/labour supply and availability, unforeseen items and conditions
- Ongoing review and touch up of pavement markings if possible due to weather
