Family Day Skate on Monday, February 16
I am pleased to invite Kanata North residents to join me for a free Family Day skate on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Mlacak Arena (2500 Campeau Drive). Two skating sessions will be offered: 1:00–1:50 p.m. and 2:00–2:50 p.m.
I am happy to be hosting this event alongside Karen McCrimmon, MPP for Kanata–Carleton, and Jenna Sudds, MP for Kanata. I hope you will come out with your family, friends, and neighbours to enjoy a fun and active afternoon together as we celebrate Family Day.
February 18: KCBIA Job Fair
The Kanata Central BIA Job Fair is back! If you’re looking for a job or a summer position, this is a great opportunity to connect directly with local employers, network, and explore new opportunities in a more personal setting. The job fair takes place on February 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata, 101 Kanata Ave., Kanata. February 24: Community Information Session with Ottawa Police
The Kanata North Office will be hosting a Community Safety Information Session with Ottawa Police on Tuesday, February 24, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, in the Minto Room at the Richcraft Centre. This public meeting will focus on a range of community safety topics and resources available to residents. Police will share information on local safety programs, tools residents can use to stay informed, and guidance on how and when to contact police. The session will also include general information on fraud prevention and what to do if you are targeted by a scam. The session will also include an explanation of community policing, time to address frequently asked questions, and an opportunity for residents to ask questions directly.
February 28: Coldest Night of the Year Event
Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a Canada-wide winter fundraising walk held each year to support local charities that help people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hurt. This year the walk is being held on February 28. The Kanata North Office will be taking part in the event held by the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC). Go to Ottawa Kanata (Western Ottawa CRC) – CNOY Canada 2026 to either make your own team, or feel free to join the Kanata North Office Team.
Kanata parkrun, every Saturday at 9:00 am at the Beaver Pond
